About the Author

So who is the author? I am 40-something IT freelancer running my IT consultancy business, Dataconsult, in Britain. I have two children, a boy of 13 and a girl of 8. I have been married for over 17 years and live in a typically English 4 bedroom semi-detached house in Manchester.

I was born in the UK, but grew up in Sweden. I did my lower schooling in LUND at Järnåkraskolan, and my upper schooling in MALMö at Pauliskolan.  I then studied Physics and Computer Science in Manchester, followed by two years of research into Astrophysics at the same excellent University.

I became a DnD addict in Sweden, being taught by another Half Swede, Half Englishman, and took it up very seriously at University (grades suffered accordingly - take heed).

A recent experience in visiting Tunisia made me consider developing a travel page (or two). Our worst holiday ever! Just don't even consider going.

I got hooked on computers when I was 15 (25 years+ ago) and have ever since worked with them in one way or another - writing software, developing web sites, selling services or designing and implementing NT and Windows 2000/3 networks.
